Blake Farenthold for Congress

I’m Blake Farenthold, the Republican nominee for Congress in the 27^th district of Texas hugging the Gulf coast from Ingleside (just north of Corpus Christi) to Brownsville. I believe our government is too big and too expensive. We need to return to the ideals outlined by our founding Fathers in our Constitution and return the power to states, local governments and most importantly the individual. I believe in less government (which means more freedom) and lower taxes (which means bigger paychecks).  I’ll fight to defend your freedoms including freedom of speech & religion, the right to bear arms and the right to be free from discrimination.  I am committed to protecting America both at home and abroad which includes fighting terrorism, supporting our allies abroad, reforming immigration and, most importantly, securing our borders.

My opponent has been in office 27 years.  That’s too long!  In those 27 years, the congressman has lost touch with the people of south Texas.  He’s become a Washington insider preferring to spend his free time traveling the globe instead of returning home to listen to the people who elected him.  He now votes in lock-step with President Obama and Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi on bills we don’t want and spending that threatens to bankrupt us.

Most of us in District 27 – whether we are Democrats, Republicans or Independents – were brought up with the same values of faith, family, and hard work. I am asking for your vote so that I can help return those values to Washington D.C. I promise you that I won’t forget that I work for the people of District 27 – not the liberal special interests who have supported my opponent.
